GCN – Great Commission Network is a relational, multiplying network connecting believers, churches, ministries, networks and leaders to pray, learn, equip and act together — personally, locally, nationally and globally.
GCN strengthens relationships and collaboration across the Body of Christ while respecting the identity, calling and responsibility of each church, ministry, network and individual. Rather than building a centralized organization, GCN provides a framework in which people can connect, discover what God is already doing, share resources and experience, and develop practical collaboration around common Great Commission priorities.
The vision is to see the Gospel reach every person, every believer equipped and empowered to become a disciple-maker, and multiplying Christian fellowship established in every place. At the same time, GCN encourages believers to live out God’s Kingdom in their workplaces, communities and every sphere of life and society.
Collaboration can include prayer, evangelism, disciple making, church planting and multiplication, leadership development, training and equipping, workplace and agricultural initiatives, community transformation, resource sharing and other activities that contribute to the advance of God’s Kingdom.
GCN connects the local with the global. Local believers and churches can collaborate within their communities, cities and regions while being connected with national and international relationships, experience and resources. In the same way, global networks can learn from, strengthen and serve what God is doing at the grassroots level.
The network seeks to remain simple, relational and action-oriented. Structures are designed to serve the mission and enable people to work together effectively. Through facilitating teams, work groups, focus and project teams, and practical activities and initiatives, collaboration can develop according to the needs and opportunities of each context.
GCN is built around the principles of prayer, unity, collaboration and multiplication — helping the Body of Christ move from connection to coordinated action and from individual initiatives toward greater Kingdom impact.
